What happens to a dream deferred? I ask What happens to a dream deterred? Could it be that the dream is the life deterred? If the dream is the life deterred, and the dream is deferred, then what? Is not the dream a life? Is not the life a dream? Is there one life? Is there one dream? Perhaps it is as such, that the dream is not singular.

An Open Letter to Richard Fitz

January 11 2005: I noticed a missing parenthesis, so I made the change – this is such a minor change that it has no real impact upon the document as a whole. <Address Information Removed> Mr. Fitz, On March 3rd 2004 I found, much to my dismay, an individual attributing various unsatisfactory statements to you, Richard Fitz. I, having read contrary statements in articles that you had previously written, felt that the very least I could was point out said statements to this individual, as well as suggest to them that they contact you directly regarding said statements.

I heard you talking...

I heard you talking just the other day.   You talked like Aphrodite, that damned goddess of old, You were talking in her ear and it made me feel so cold...   I would give you all the attention, perhaps more then you could hold, I'd put my heart on the block, and not expect a 'thunk'.   Do you hurt me on purpose? Did those before? I'm not an artist, but I've a bleeding heart.

Thinking about you, I found your picture, You were oh so beautiful, and I'm sure you still are.   Sometimes I wonder, what would I have been without seeing you without meeting you without having the pleasure...   Sometimes I cry, sometimes I bleed, sometimes I sit sometimes I gaze...   I looked at your picture, and I put it back down. I picked up your picture, and I put it back down.

I sat in a garden, looking at the sun...

I sat in a garden, looking at the sun   I beckoned to it, 'come down and we'll have some fun'   But the sun would not come, and it sat there in it's lofty height   I called to it, 'who do you think you are' You lofty sun sitting so high in the sky   'You cannot stay there forever,' came my reply   And with that a tower was started, so that the sun would come down Whether it desired it or not, it would come down Inspired by the music of the Doors.

Hopefully I'll be able to put this stuff into stories, but, until then, I present some of the various snippets of dialog that I have collected... "... and it was at that moment that Roberta realized that she was not alone." Overheard: "...and that is why frogs are far better then chipmunks." "But Robert, you still do not understand that chipmunks is not an answer..." Overheard: "...forgetting that there are only three distinct types.

I would like to tell you that I love you...

I would like to tell you that I love you, but I'm afraid of the words... I'm not worried about commitment, in the traditional sense... I'm afraid that you'll hurt me, like all the ones before... How I would love to tell you that I want to make you happy, but should I... How I would love to tell you that I would do anything for you, my life is in your hands.

Language warning! Yeah... don't view this unless you want to see me as this portrays me, and I mean it... It's an absolute rant, and it's a complete digression of what this site is about (which is family values, or something...).

I knew this girl...

I knew this girl she had hair like the sun... Let me tell you boy we had us some fun...   But the days got short and one day away she went... It seemed liked so long But 'twas merely a moment...   This beautiful girl, together in the sun, having our fun She was with me for such a short time And when she was gone, I realized, that it was but a moment, a point in time.
